Because our lightpanels are edge lit you will see a brighter light source around the perimeter of the lightpanel. As the light travels across the inner side of the panel the etching allows for an even light distribution throughout the entire panel. When used as a backlit source the brighter seam line around the perimeter will be visually dissipated with most of the possible backlit materials. If the backlit material is too clear a setback or diffuser is recommended to have an even light distribution throughout the entire illuminated area.
