These slim LED channel units are generally not the best choice for primary room or general lighting. Because the channel is very narrow and the wiring must exit through the end cap, creating only three or four vertical light bars may not provide enough light output and can make installation more challenging.
For general room lighting, we recommend selecting from our larger LED strip channels designed for higher-output LED strip lighting. These provide more flexibility for wiring, higher light output, and easier installation.
A higher density of the slim LED channels could potentially provide sufficient ambient lighting, but the greater number of fixtures and wiring connections would make the installation considerably more difficult.
